CM! Winters is a Librarian and a Chicago Blockchain Project advisor. She is a staunch advocate for innovative civic engagement gleaning her areas of subject expertise in blockchain technology, organized labor, and information/news literacy. These topics and others will be covered in her forthcoming co-authored publication on information poverty in Chicago (#IPiC). Distinguished honors include inaugural Gates Millennium Scholar and completion of both the Harvard Leadership (LIAL) and the McCormick Foundation News Literacy fellows programs. Her day job is Assistant Professor with City Colleges of Chicago and Malcolm X College Library Department Chair. The proud alumnus of DePaul University (BA 1996) and UIUC (MS 1997) is also the former host of WYCC PBS-TV20 weekly program, The Professors. In addition to raising four unicorns, she has 15 years of progressive experience managing high-priority projects for senior administrative teams in complex and non-profit organizational settings.
